The hotel is nice, but the best is the owner of the hotel (Paul). He told us where to walk (near a river) during the afternoon, where to go for the evening (with possibility to put the bill of our restaurant to your hotel bill) and describe us a road to follow to see something that are not in the tourist guides :). Wonderful

Clean and Friendly - July 2011

I stayed for 3 nights in one of the rear rooms, which was blissfully quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed, and there were plenty of places nearby to get food. The room was clean and well looked after.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and had heaps of advice on things to to in the area.

Couple travelling - July 2011

Lovely hosts, nice clean room with all the essentials eg hob, microwave, fridge. Parking right outside the door, and the double glazing meant that it was quiet at night. Great for 2 adults and our baby. Lovely spa pool too. 2 min drive (5-10 min walk) to centre of town and the seaside walkway. Would stay there again.

Excellent value for money with friendly service - May 2011

Convenient location, with quiet, comfortable rooms which have recently being upgraded. I was so impressed with the service that we now use this motel for all our staff bookings in New Plymouth. I have stayed here for 3+ months out of the past 6 and will definitely be returning.

Recently upgrades to high speed internet have made this more convenient.

FREE internet - February 2011

We stayed here for one night on our way from Auckland to Wellington. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with the free Wi Fi as this seems quite uncommon in NZ. The room was clean and we felt the motel was value for money. (we paid $110) We were at the front and were not disturbed by the road noise. We were able to walk to a nearby restaurant Cobb and Co where we had a good meal.

Great place to stay, friendly & welcoming

We stayed here for 4 days and had fabulous service. Enjoyed the location, handy to town and beaches, supermarkets, etc. Rooms (we had adjoining rooms, with the children) were spacious and very clean, had everything we needed. Hosts were very helpful, had loads of information and helpful hints on the town and nothing was a problem. We had rooms at the front, near the main road but there was no noise inside, very comfortable stay.

Fantastic self service kitchen, everything you need also with a guest laundry. Close to everything; town, supermarket, movies, fishing and waterfront. Brilliant service. Absolutely spotless, very clean rooms serviced daily.
